Extremely popular but it's losing it popularity gradually through overuse. An emphatic phrase that is similar is 'please' but you'll hear it as a 2-syllable word. Both phrases mean 'I can't believe you're telling me this or that you even believe it yourself. It is so obviously wrong.'
